In welding operations, the use of positioners significantly increases productivity and greatly improves final weld quality. Integrating positioners into your workflow enhances operational flexibility, ergonomics, and operator comfort. A positioner allows the weldment to be consistently oriented for optimal access, guaranteeing that welding is executed in the flat position (downhand / PA position).
The MOST MHP series 3-axis positioners offer stepless spatial adjustment of the workpiece across three axes, ensuring an optimal, efficient, and ergonomic working posture. The positioners feature adjustable rotation, tilt, and elevation (height). The integration of AC motors with frequency inverters ensures smooth and precise rotation of the faceplate under any load condition. The hydraulic system, dedicated specifically to tilt and elevation adjustment, ensures stable and secure workpiece positioning. These positioners are engineered to handle workpieces with a maximum weight capacity of up to 10,000 kg (custom payload capacities available upon request).

• Remote control pendant with a 5 m cable,
• Digital rotation speed display on the control panel for real-time monitoring,
• Rotation AC motors equipped with mechanical brakes and forced air cooling.

Positioner Load Capacity Calculation:

The lod torque must always be calculated based on the distance from the worktable surface (faceplate) to the center of gravity (COG) of the weldment. When selecting a positioner, the torque generated by the workpiece must be compared against the maximum permissible torque of the specific positioner model, as specified in the technical data table.

Where:

• G (N) = mass of the weldment (kg) $\times$ gravitational acceleration (approx. 10 m/s²)
• Y (m) = distance from the center of the faceplate (axis of rotation) to the workpiece's center of gravity (eccentricity)
