The process of welding, grinding, cutting, soldering, brazing and even simple chemical treatment and assembly works in any environment require more or less professional personal safety products. European Union Directive 89/686/EEC requires to mark all personal safety products by CE. Starting from 1st of May 2004 labeling with CE is obligatory for all products of individual protection existing on the market. All goods included in our offers posses such a marking.

 

CE marking guarantees possibility of free trade in territory of EU and additionally informs customers that product with this label compliant with safety regulation, public health, consumer protection and others collateral issues specified in Directives.

 

Technical requirements concern manufacturing and preparing of personal safety products are defined by European Standards or Technical documentation. The reference to European Standards is very often treated as additional information placed on product, label or accompanied documents.

 

Categories of individual protection were defined by European Union Directive 89/686/EEC according to degree of danger against which ready product should protect. The higher danger degree means higher category of ready product.

 

Category I

Personal safety product with simple construction, purposed to protect against minimal danger (risk). This category include for example working gloves for gardeners, sun glasses, rain-proof and wind-proof clothing. Products in this category are marking with CE.

 

Category II

Personal safety products purposed to protect neither against minimal danger (risk) nor threat to life or health. This category includes: head, face, eye, ear protection as well as working gloves protective against danger higher than minimal. Products in this category are marking with CE

 

Category III
Personal safety product with combined construction, purposed to protect against threat to life or health in situation when people are exposed to risk. To this category we include: respiratory systems protection, anti-fall down equipment and all personal safety products protecting against extremely law and extremely high temperature, electric shock, chemical and joining radiation. Products from this category are marking as, eg. CE 0082 when 0082 means number of notification unit involved in production control process.
