LORCH show at the Agricultural Academy in Poznan

On 7th of January 2009 our team presented welding machines at the Agricultural Engineering Institute of University of Live Sciences in Poznan. We were invited by the manager of Research Unit of Farm Machinery Operation Prof. Czeslaw Rzeznik and M.Sc. Eng Piotr Rybacki.

The presentation was organized for the students of 2nd grade to enrich their theoretical knowledge of welding with practical information.

During the theoretical part, product manager M.Sc. Eng Wojciech Wierzba presented the basic theory referring to welding methods. Secondly, he discussed in details welding machines for TIG method, produced by the LORCH company. At the same time, it was a great chance for us to present ourselves and describe current issues connected with welding market in Poland. Most of the topics met big interest from the students’ side, which was proven by questions asked.

Furthermore, our demo welder Mr. Michal Garbina carried the show of earlier described LORCH machines. This performance dealt with MIG welding of stainless steel using Saprom S5BW machine, and TIG welding of aluminium and stainless steel using V40 AC/DC/W machine. The plasma cutting and Cutmaster True 40 machine were showed as a novelty.

The whole presentation was organized thanks to help of our branch office in Poznan, Sielska 4 Street, and its director Mr. Slawomir Berkowski.

What is worth adding is that it was a third edition of such event. This every year practical shows, carried by our company for students’ of 2nd grade of University of Live Sciences, have become an important addition to their regular lectures from welding.
